According to the regulation on the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate level and college level in the field of industrial electrical engineering, issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, industrial electrical engineering at the college level is a field in which practitioners focus on designing, installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and industrial electrical equipment to meet technical requirements and ensure safety, corresponding to level 5 in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.
Persons working in the field of Industrial Electrical Engineering directly participate in designing, installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing electrical cabinets, electrical machines, production lines, and electrical devices in manufacturing and business companies such as factories, enterprises, and buildings, under safe conditions. They can take on roles and duties as management officers, technical officers in production facilities, agencies, business units, organize and own production facilities, and repair electrical equipment.
To practice, workers must possess good health and professional ethics, sufficient professional knowledge, and skills to meet job requirements; handle tasks proactively, communicate and cooperate in teamwork, organize, and manage production processes, and train lower-level workers according to the prescribed qualifications.
Individuals in the field of Industrial Electrical Engineering need to regularly study to improve professional qualifications, enhance foreign language communication skills, expand social knowledge; cultivate carefulness, detail orientation, clarity; build professional awareness and passion for the profession.
Minimum volume of knowledge: 1,850 hours (equivalent to 66 credits).
