According to the regulations on minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that students must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the metal cutting sector, issued together with Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, intermediate level metal cutting is a profession where practitioners use various universal machine tools and numerical program control machines such as lathes, milling machines, planers, grinders, and borers to manufacture components that meet technical requirements, achieve productivity, and ensure safety to meet the demands of businesses in the field of machine manufacturing, mechanical processing, and services, fulfilling Level 4 requirements in the Vietnamese National Qualifications Framework.

Metal Cutting practitioners mainly work in workshops, factories, and enterprises producing and manufacturing mechanical equipment and parts in an industrial environment. Therefore, practitioners must have good health, professional ethics, continuously cultivate the traits of carefulness, attention to detail, clarity, build professional awareness, passion for the profession, and possess the necessary professional knowledge and skills to meet job requirements.

Please note that the minimum knowledge volume is 1,680 hours (equivalent to 59 credits).
