On December 28, 2018, Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH was issued by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs (BLDTBXH), stipulating the minimum knowledge and competency requirements that students must achieve upon graduation at the intermediate and college levels in the fields of materials, metallurgy, production, and other technical engineering disciplines.

According to the regulations on the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduating from the intermediate and college levels in the field of Construction Materials Engineering Technology, issued along with Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is stipulated that Construction Materials Engineering Technology at the college level is a major specializing in the production of silicate material products serving the civil and industrial construction sectors. These include main product lines such as: bricks, tiles, fired clay, ceramic bricks, sanitary ware, construction glass, cement, and concrete, meeting the requirements of level 5 in the Vietnamese National Qualification Framework.
Individuals working in the Construction Materials Engineering Technology field must possess knowledge and skills to perform tasks such as "materials processing, shaping, decorating, thermal processing, sorting and packaging, product quality control." The main tasks of this major include: material control, operation, and supervision of the production process.
Graduates of the College program in Construction Materials Engineering Technology can work at construction materials manufacturing companies, construction companies, specialized LAS and VILAS laboratories for construction materials, construction materials inspection rooms, State agencies, political and social organizations related to the Construction Materials field, or teach at training institutions in the Construction Materials major...
The minimum amount of knowledge required is 2,150 hours (equivalent to 85 credits).
