Instructions for implementing Action Month for Children in Vietnam 2024
The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs guides the content and activities of Action Month for Children in 2024, specifically as follows:
1. Theme: "Practical action, prioritizing resources for children".
2. Purpose and requirements
- Communication to raise awareness of all levels and sectors on implementing Directive 28-CT/TW dated December 25, 2023 of the Politburo on strengthening the care, education, and protection of children to meet the requirements of developing a prosperous and happy country; focus on directing and prioritizing resources to ensure the implementation of children's rights and solve children's problems.
- Mobilize society to implement the movement "All people care for, educate, and protect children", support each commune to have a project for children built or upgraded; each union member, member of socio-political organizations, and member of social organizations has a practical action for children.
3. Time: from June 1 to June 30, 2024.

5. Main activities
- The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs presides and coordinates to organize:
(i) Launching ceremony of Action Month for Children 2024 (expected week of May 4 or June 1, 2024);
(ii) Media campaign on the occasion of Action Month for Children;
(iii) National online conference on children's work.
- The Provincial People's Committee directs and guides Departments, branches, and People's Committees at district and commune levels to implement the following contents:
+ Develop a detailed plan to organize and respond to activities in the 2024 Action Month for Children in the locality.
+ Based on local conditions, organize the launch of Action Month for Children 2024 at the end of May or June 1, 2024.
Some specific activities:
(i) Directing the construction and upgrading of projects (schools, classrooms, boarding houses, libraries, playgrounds...) for children, with each commune, ward, and town having 01 project for children on the occasion of Action Month for Children;
(ii) Organize communication activities to raise awareness and a sense of responsibility among agencies, organizations, businesses, union members, and members in joining hands to care for local children to mobilize the entire population to care for, educate, and protect children with the method of each person taking action for children in response to the Month of Action for Children;
(iii) Prepare content and conditions to attend the National Online Conference on Children's Work.
