Inspection Fees for Technical Safety of Inland Waterway Vehicles

Circular 237/2016/TT-BTC stipulates the inspection fee for the technical safety and quality of inland waterway vehicles applicable to all vehicles that must undergo technical safety and quality inspection in accordance with the Law on Inland Waterway Traffic.

Regarding the fee for new vehicle technical safety and quality inspection services, the Circular specifies: The fee for new vehicle inspection services is calculated based on the annual inspection fee for the vehicle, multiplied by a factor of 12. The minimum fee is not less than 1,000,000 VND per vehicle.

The above inspection service fee does not include the quality inspection fee for industrial products used for inland waterway vehicles.

Regarding the fee for vehicle design appraisal services, the Circular stipulates that the fee for new design appraisal services is calculated at 10% of the new vehicle inspection fee. The minimum design appraisal fee is 200,000 VND per design dossier.

The fee for the preparation of design dossiers is calculated at the same rate as the new design appraisal fee.

The fee for construction design appraisal services is calculated at 30% of the new design appraisal fee.

The fee for as-built design appraisal services is calculated at 20% of the new design appraisal fee.

The fee for standardized sample design appraisal services is calculated based on the new vehicle design appraisal fee. The minimum fee for standardized sample design appraisal is 200,000 VND per design dossier.

The fee for copying and appraising vehicle samples is calculated at 30% of the vehicle design appraisal fee, but not less than 200,000 VND per copying and appraisal dossier.
