Increases in Monthly Allowance for Veterans Affected by Chemical Agents

The details are specified in Decree 58/2019/ND-CP of the Government of Vietnam, which stipulates the levels of allowances and preferential subsidies for individuals who have made contributions to the revolution.

The monthly allowance and preferential subsidies for those who were involved in revolutionary activities and were infected with chemical agents are specified in Annex I issued together with Decree 58/2019/ND-CP, as follows:

- Suffering from a labor capacity decrease of 21% - 40%: 1,234,000 VND- Suffering from a labor capacity decrease of 41% - 60%: 2,062,000 VND- Suffering from a labor capacity decrease of 61% - 80%: 2,891,000 VND- Suffering from a labor capacity decrease of 81% or more: 3,703,000 VND- Those involved in revolutionary activities infected with chemical agents and suffering from a labor capacity decrease of 81% or more: subsidy 815,000 VND/month- Those involved in revolutionary activities infected with chemical agents and suffering from a labor capacity decrease of 81% or more with severe illness: Subsidy 1,624,000 VND/month

Additionally, Decree 58/2019/ND-CP also stipulates the monthly allowance for caregivers and relatives of those involved in revolutionary activities as follows:

- Caregivers of those involved in revolutionary activities infected with chemical agents suffering from a labor capacity decrease of 81% or more living in the family: 1,624,000 VND- Survivors’ benefits for relatives of those involved in revolutionary activities infected with chemical agents suffering from a labor capacity decrease of 61% or more who have passed away: 911,000 VND- Biological father, biological mother, spouse, or children aged 18 or older living alone without support, or children under 18 orphaned both parents currently receiving monthly survivors' benefits will receive additional support for care benefits: 1,299,000 VND- Live-born children of those involved in revolutionary activities infected with chemical agents:

- Suffering from a labor capacity decrease of 61% to 80%: 974,000 VND- Suffering from a labor capacity decrease of 81% or more: 1,624,000 VND
