Guidelines on the Implementation of the Mineral Export Report

On July 5, 2016, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Circular 12/2016/TT-BCT amending and supplementing several articles of Circular 41/2012/TT-BCT regulating mineral exports.

According to the guidance in Circular 12/2016/TT-BCT, the mineral export report is conducted as follows:

- Enterprises with mineral export activities in the quarter shall prepare and submit reports to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Department of Heavy Industry), the Department of Industry and Trade, and the Provincial Customs Department where the enterprise's headquarters is located, no later than the 15th day of the first month of the following quarter.- The Provincial People's Committee where the enterprise exports minerals shall prepare and submit comprehensive reports on a semi-annual and annual basis to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Department of Heavy Industry) no later than July 31 and January 31 annually.

According to Circular 12, when competent state agencies require an ad-hoc report to serve management purposes, enterprises are responsible for complying with the reporting requirements.
