General Requirements for Unintended Out-of-Band Emissions

Circular 29/2017/TT-BTTTT was issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications on November 7, 2017, detailing the general requirements for unwanted out-of-band emissions.

Accordingly, Circular 29 regulates unwanted emissions outside the band for measuring, the equipment under test (EUT) includes:

- For IE:

- EME;- IME;- Connecting cables between IME and EME systems;- Necessary power cables and other types of cables ensuring the terminal equipment operates properly.

- For PE:

- A PE module, which includes details to configure it for normal operation;- Multiple PE modules, all modules with all necessary connection cables provided by the manufacturer including details for the system to operate normally.

Note:

- For measurements at frequencies up to 1,000 MHz, the distance between EUT and the measurement antenna is 10 meters.- For measurements at frequencies above 1,000 MHz, the distance between the EUT or substitute antenna and the measurement antenna must ensure that the near-field radiations of each antenna do not overlap.- The larger near-field radiations of the EUT and the substitute antenna are used to determine the minimum distance between the EUT and the measurement antenna in the first case.

See details at Circular 29/2017/TT-BTTTT effective from July 1, 2018.
