From 2019, How Is the Disciplinary Action for Having a Third Child Implemented?

Giving birth to a third child is always an issue of concern for many, particularly for party members, officials, and public employees. The application of disciplinary measures will vary depending on the extent of the consequences of the act of giving birth to a third child, specifically as follows.

Based on Article 27 of Regulation 102-QD/TW on disciplining Communist Party members:

- If a member has a third child, they shall be disciplined in the form of a reprimand;

- If having a third child causes serious consequences, they shall be disciplined in the form of a warning or dismissed from their position (if holding any position);

- If having a third child causes very serious consequences, they shall be disciplined in the form of expulsion.

In addition to the aforementioned disciplinary actions by the Communist Party, officials and public employees who have a third child may also be subject to administrative disciplinary actions by the government and organizations. Specific disciplinary measures will be stipulated in the internal regulations of the unit where the officials and public employees are employed.
