Epaulets and Ranks for Officers and Inspectors Holding Leadership and Management Positions

Epaulettes, ranks for cadres and inspectors holding leadership management positions (Illustrative image)

Circular 02/2015/TT-TTCP stipulates the epaulettes and ranks for cadres and inspectors holding leadership management positions as follows:

- Inspector General the Government of Vietnam: epaulettes have a length of 13cm, pointed end width of 4cm, broad end width of 5cm, base epaulettes made of red felt fabric, core epaulettes made of pure white plastic; stars and borders made of brass plate, borders plated with shiny white metal; round epaulette button with a star in the middle of two pine branches, attached with 4 stars of 23mm in a vertical row;

- Deputy Inspector General the Government of Vietnam: epaulettes have a length of 13cm, pointed end width of 4cm, broad end width of 5cm, base epaulettes made of red felt fabric, core epaulettes made of pure white plastic; stars and borders made of brass plate, borders plated with shiny white metal; round epaulette button with a star in the middle of two pine branches; 1st term epaulettes have 2 stars, from the 2nd term onwards epaulettes have 3 stars of 23mm in a vertical row;

- Department Director and equivalent under Inspection the Government of Vietnam; Chief Inspector Ministers, sectors: epaulettes have a length of 13cm, pointed end width of 4cm, broad end width of 5cm, base epaulettes made of red felt fabric, core epaulettes made of pure white plastic; stars and borders made of brass plate, borders plated with shiny white metal; round epaulette button with a star in the middle of two pine branches, attached with 1 star of 23mm in a vertical row;

- Deputy Department Director and equivalent under Inspection the Government of Vietnam; Vice Chief Inspector Ministries, sectors: epaulettes have a length of 13cm, pointed end width of 4cm, broad end width of 5cm, base epaulettes made of red felt fabric, core epaulettes made of pure white plastic; stars made of plated shiny white brass plate; 3mm wide blue fabric trim; round epaulette button with a star in the middle of two pine branches, attached with 4 stars of 23mm in a vertical row, with two white metal classification bands;

- Division Head and equivalent under Inspection the Government of Vietnam; Division Head and equivalent under Inspection Ministries, sectors: epaulettes have a length of 13cm, pointed end width of 4cm, broad end width of 5cm, base epaulettes made of red felt fabric, core epaulettes made of pure white plastic; stars made of plated shiny white brass plate; 3mm wide blue fabric trim; round epaulette button with a star in the middle of two pine branches, attached with 3 stars of 23mm in a vertical row, with two white metal classification bands;

- Deputy Division Head and equivalent under Inspection the Government of Vietnam; Deputy Division Head and equivalent under Inspection Ministries, sectors: epaulettes have a length of 13cm, pointed end width of 4cm, broad end width of 5cm, base epaulettes made of red felt fabric, core epaulettes made of pure white plastic; stars made of plated shiny white brass plate; 3mm wide blue fabric trim; round epaulette button with a star in the middle of two pine branches, attached with 2 stars of 23mm in a vertical row, with two white metal classification bands;

- Chief Inspector provinces, centrally-run cities: epaulettes have a length of 13cm, pointed end width of 4cm, broad end width of 5cm, base epaulettes made of red felt fabric, core epaulettes made of pure white plastic; stars made of plated shiny white brass plate; 3mm wide blue fabric trim; round epaulette button with a star in the middle of two pine branches, attached with 4 stars of 23mm in a vertical row, with two white metal classification bands;

- Deputy Chief Inspector provinces, centrally-run cities: epaulettes have a length of 13cm, pointed end width of 4cm, broad end width of 5cm, base epaulettes made of red felt fabric, core epaulettes made of pure white plastic; stars made of plated shiny white brass plate; 3mm wide blue fabric trim; round epaulette button with a star in the middle of two pine branches, attached with 3 stars of 23mm in a vertical row, with two white metal classification bands;

- Division Head and equivalent under Inspection provinces, centrally-run cities; Chief Inspector provincial departments and authorities: epaulettes have a length of 13cm, pointed end width of 4cm, broad end width of 5cm, base epaulettes made of red felt fabric, core epaulettes made of pure white plastic; stars made of plated shiny white brass plate; 3mm wide blue fabric trim; round epaulette button with a star in the middle of two pine branches, attached with 2 stars of 23mm in a vertical row, with two white metal classification bands;

- Deputy Division Head and equivalent under Inspection provinces, centrally-run cities; Deputy Chief Inspector provincial departments and authorities; Chief Inspector districts, towns, district-level towns, provincial cities: epaulettes have a length of 13cm, pointed end width of 4cm, broad end width of 5cm, base epaulettes made of red felt fabric, core epaulettes made of pure white plastic; stars made of plated shiny white brass plate; 3mm wide blue fabric trim; round epaulette button with a star in the middle of two pine branches, attached with 1 star of 23mm in a vertical row, with two white metal classification bands;

- Deputy Chief Inspector districts, towns, district-level towns, provincial cities: epaulettes have a length of 13cm, pointed end width of 4cm, broad end width of 5cm, base epaulettes made of red felt fabric, core epaulettes made of pure white plastic; stars made of plated shiny white brass plate; 3mm wide blue fabric trim; round epaulette button with a star in the middle of two pine branches, attached with 4 stars of 23mm in a vertical row, with one white metal classification band.
