On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the minimum amount of knowledge, competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of electrical, electronic, and telecommunications engineering.

According to the regulations on the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the Electrical Installation and Control Engineering field in the industry, issued with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is stipulated that after graduating with a college degree in Electrical Installation and Control Engineering in the industry, learners are competent to meet the requirements at various job positions in the field, including:
- Installing power supply and distribution systems for buildings;
- Operating, maintaining, and servicing power supply and distribution systems for buildings;
- Installing and programming control systems for electrical equipment in the industry;
- Operating and maintaining control systems for electrical equipment in the industry;
- Installing management and operation systems for buildings;
- Installing renewable energy power supply and distribution systems;
- Quality inspection of products;
- Technical consulting and business of equipment;
- Installing electrical systems for lifting and transferring machines.
Additionally, the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating in the Electrical Installation and Control Engineering field in the industry at the college level can continue to develop at higher levels. Graduates are capable of self-learning, updating scientific and technological advancements within the field to improve their skills or transition to higher levels of study within the same field or in related fields of study.
