This is a notable content in the Anti-Corruption Law 2018, which was passed by the National Assembly on November 20, 2018, at the 6th session of the 14th National Assembly.
According to the new regulations, to effectively implement the work of preventing and combating corruption, strictly handle individuals with corrupt, self-interested behaviors, the 2018 Anti-Corruption Law stipulates that officials must declare the following assets and incomes:
- Land use rights, housing, construction works, and other assets attached to the land, housing, and construction works;- Precious metals, gemstones, money, valuable papers, and other movables where each asset has a value of 50,000,000 VND or more;- Assets and accounts abroad;- The total income between two declarations.
Note, apart from officials, the following subjects must also declare assets and incomes:
- Officers of the People's Police; officers of the People's Army, professional soldiers.- Persons holding positions from Deputy Chief of Division and equivalent or higher working at public service providers, state-owned enterprises, persons nominated to represent state capital in enterprises.- Candidates for National Assembly deputies, candidates for People's Council deputies.
