Each Candidate is Allowed to Adjust University Admission Registration Only Once

The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has issued Guidelines on the recruitment for regular university (UG) admission; college (C), and intermediate-level (I) teacher education admissions for the year 2018.

Departments of Education and Training (SO GD&DT) use the accounts and passwords provided during the organization of the national high school examination and graduation recognition to enter data for university and college pedagogy (SP), intermediate pedagogy (TCSP) admissions. The Departments guide candidates using the individual accounts and passwords provided to access the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) Admissions Portal to check personal information and perform online enrollment application adjustments. At the same time, they guide candidates who wish to adjust their application preferences after receiving the results of the national high school examination. Each candidate may only adjust their application preferences once during the stipulated time and may use only one of two methods: online or by using the Enrollment Application Form.

Admissions Criteria Must be Based on Labor Market Demand

The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has just issued Circular 06/2018/TT-BGDDT regulating the determination of admissions quotas (CT) for intermediate, college, university (DH), master, and doctoral levels for teacher training disciplines. Among the three criteria for determining university admissions quotas, the Ministry of Education and Training emphasizes the factor of basing on labor demand. Specifically, it requires training institutions to determine admissions quotas based on labor market demands, national and local economic-social development requirements, and industry needs.

Regarding the determination of regular university admissions quotas, the Circular specifies: Annual regular university admissions quotas are calculated based on the total training scale identified according to capacity, meeting all criteria specified in this Circular, minus the total number of regular students currently being trained at the institution, and adding the number of students expected to graduate in the admissions year.
