To be specific, in Article 20 of the Draft Population Law 2020, there are guidelines for several measures to adapt to population aging and an aging population as follows:

- Information, education, and communication about population aging and the aging population.- Creating a friendly social environment, caring for and enhancing the role of the elderly, and the role of families in caring for the elderly.- Establishing models, clubs, and volunteer networks for elderly health care.- Providing social services suited to the needs of the elderly and the socio-economic conditions of the country in each period.- Guiding the practice of scientific living habits, proper nutrition, and exercise to minimize diseases for the elderly.- Strengthening and enhancing the capacity of medical facilities to diagnose and treat diseases, provide primary health care, and prevent chronic diseases for the elderly.- Developing a geriatric medical examination and treatment system to meet the needs of treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care for the elderly.- Training and professional development for medical staff, volunteers, and collaborators in diagnosing and treating diseases and health care for the elderly.- Supporting job creation and providing work conditions in terms of production means, technology transfer, product consumption, and loan access for production development for the elderly. Encouraging the elderly to continue working when they meet health requirements and have a desire to work.- Building, supplementing, and amending policies and legislation to adapt to population aging and the aging population; effectively implementing social security policies, social insurance, health insurance for the elderly in accordance with the laws on social insurance and health insurance.- Mobilizing society, organizations, and individuals to support the elderly in participating in health insurance.

Thus, educational and propaganda measures, creating a good living environment for the elderly, diagnosing and treating diseases, and developing social security policies are considered measures to help adapt to population aging and an aging population.
