On December 26, 2018, the Ministry of Construction issued Circular 12/2018/TT-BXD promulgating the National Technical Regulation on Parking Garages, code QCVN 13:2018/BXD.

According to Circular 12/2018/TT-BXD, the fire prevention and fighting distance from open land used for parking cars to buildings and structures of enterprises is determined as follows:

To production buildings and structures:

- Buildings with fire resistance level I, II, and III classified as structural fire hazard level S0:- From walls without openings - not specified;- From walls with openings - not less than 9 meters.- Buildings with fire resistance level IV classified as structural fire hazard level S0 and S1:- From walls without openings - not less than 6 meters;- From walls with openings - not less than 12 meters.- Buildings with other fire resistance levels and fire hazard levels (QCVN 06:2010/BXD) - not less than 15 meters.

To administrative and service buildings of enterprises:

- Buildings with fire resistance level I, II, and III classified as structural fire hazard level S0 - not less than 9 meters;- Buildings with other fire resistance levels and fire hazard levels - not less than 15 meters;- No distance is specified from car parking areas to buildings and structures with fire resistance level I, II classified as S0 in the area of technical service stations for cars with fewer than 15 seats from walls without openings.
