Conditions for Teaching Informatics at the Intermediate Level

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs recently promulgated Circular 11/2018/TT-BLDTBXH issuing the curriculum for the subject of Informatics, which is part of the general subjects in the training programs for intermediate and college levels.

According to Circular 11, vocational training institutions providing intermediate-level education in Information Technology must meet the following conditions:

1. Specialized classrooms/workshops

- Computer rooms with suitable configurations. The rooms must be equipped with adequate lighting and air conditioning systems.- Tables and chairs for students.- Teacher's desk and chair, board, projector, board markers.

2. Machinery and equipment

- Computers installed with Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, utility software, and Internet connection.- Computer hardware components including: Mainboard, CPU, RAM, Hard drive, Graphic card, Sound card, Network card, Computer case, Power supply, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers.- A server to manage all the connected LAN computers and another computer for the teacher.

3. Teaching materials, tools, and supplies:

- Coursebooks, lectures, exercise systems, reference materials.
