This is a noteworthy content mentioned in Circular 32/2014/TT-BTNMT stipulating the National Technical Regulation on radioactivity exploration methods.
Currently, the method of radiometric survey is a method of measuring the natural radiation effects of soil, rock, and ores containing radioactive elements, primarily uranium, thorium, potassium, and radioactive isotopes using specialized equipment in the air, on the ground, and in drilling, and excavation works serving the basic geological survey of minerals and mineral exploration.
According to the regulations in Circular 32/2014/TT-BTNMT, radiometric survey is conducted using the following 08 methods:
- Ground gamma method: Implemented according to TCVN 9421: 2012 “Investigation, evaluation, and exploration of minerals - Ground gamma method”.- Ground gamma spectrum method: Implemented according to TCVN 9419: 2012 “Investigation, evaluation, and exploration of minerals - Ground gamma spectrum method”.- Low-background gamma spectrum method: Implemented according to TCVN 9420: 2012 “Investigation, evaluation, and exploration of minerals - Low-background gamma spectrum method”.- Radioactive gas measurement method: Implemented according to TCVN 9418: 2012 “Investigation, evaluation, and exploration of minerals - Radioactive gas (eman) method”.- Radiation safety in geological survey, evaluation, and exploration of minerals: Implemented according to TCVN 9413: 2012 “Investigation, environmental geological evaluation - Radiation safety”.- Environmental gamma method: Implemented according to TCVN 9414: 2012 “Investigation, environmental geological evaluation - Gamma method”.- Environmental radioactive gas measurement method: Implemented according to TCVN 9416: 2012 “Investigation, environmental geological evaluation - Radioactive gas method”.- Equivalent dose determination method: Implemented according to TCVN 9415: 2012 “Investigation, environmental geological evaluation - Equivalent dose determination method”.
