On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) issued Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that students must achieve upon graduation from intermediate or college levels in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and veterinary science.

According to the Regulation on the minimum volume of knowledge, and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating at the intermediate level, college level in Rubber Tree Technology promulgated together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the Rubber Tree Technology major at the college level involves carrying out tasks in the process of planting, caring for, and harvesting rubber, meeting level 5 requirements in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.
The main tasks of the profession include: Preparing seedlings, land preparation, planting trees, care, fertilization, irrigation, pest management, latex harvesting, supervision of workers, technical evaluation, and skill assessment and training for workers.
Rubber Tree Technology professionals can arrange and conduct research and experiments on varieties, fertilizers, pests, and other tasks in rubber tree nurseries, rubber tree plantations in the basic construction phase, and rubber tree plantations in the business phase; effectively use materials and chemicals related to the production process such as pesticides, growth regulators, fertilizers, latex stimulants, and other tasks ensuring environmental and occupational safety. They are also proficient in using professional tools and equipment such as: irrigation systems, drainage systems in nurseries, latex tapping knives, and some statistical software to process research and experiment results.
Graduates of this program can work in state management agencies, public service organizations; research institutes; organizations, production and business units in the field of planting, caring for, and harvesting rubber trees.
Note that the minimum volume of knowledge is 1800 hours (equivalent to 65 credits).
