04 Duties that the Environmental Police are Responsible for Implementing

Decree 105/2015/ND-CP stipulates that in the advisory and directive work on the prevention and combat against crimes and administrative violations regarding the environment, natural resources, and food safety, the Environmental Police have the responsibility to perform the following tasks:

- Organize the collection of information, analyze, evaluate, and forecast the situation of crimes and administrative violations concerning the environment, natural resources, and food safety to advise and propose to the competent authorities to promulgate, direct, and directly implement policies, laws, strategies, programs, plans, and measures for the prevention and combat against crimes and administrative violations concerning the environment, natural resources, and food safety.

- Organize research, apply, and mobilize scientific and technological achievements to serve the prevention and combat against crimes and administrative violations concerning the environment, natural resources, and food safety.

- Develop and manage databases to serve the prevention and combat against crimes and administrative violations concerning the environment, natural resources, and food safety.

- Participate in activities responding to environmental incidents, protecting resources, preventing and combating environmental pollution according to legal provisions.

In which:

- Violations of the law regarding natural resources related to the environment are administrative violations in the investigation, exploration, exploitation, processing, and use of mineral resources, land resources, water resources, forest resources, marine and island resources.

- Violations of the law regarding food safety related to the environment are administrative violations in the production, business, transport of foodstuffs; medicines, preventive medicines, functional foods; genetically modified foods; animal feeds, fertilizers, veterinary medicines, plant protection drugs, growth stimulants, crop and livestock varieties; environmental treatment and improvement products.
