What is the penalty for failure to report or concealment of Covid-19 infection?

Let me ask, currently, in cases where individuals know they have contracted Covid-19 but do not report it and conceal it out of fear of quarantine, what is the monetary penalty for this behavior?

According to Article 1 of Decision 219/QD-BYT in 2020, the Ministry of Health:

Supplemented acute respiratory infections caused by nCoV into the list of group A infectious diseases as stipulated in Point a, Clause 1 and Clause 2, Article 3 of the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases 2007.

Article 6 of Decree 176/2013/ND-CP stipulates Violations of regulations on surveillance of infectious diseases as follows:

  1. Warning or a fine ranging from VND 200,000 to VND 500,000 for failure to report the discovery of individuals with group A infectious diseases.

  2. A fine ranging from VND 500,000 to VND 1,000,000 for any of the following acts:

a) Concealing the status of a group A infectious disease of oneself or others;

b) Failing to conduct tests to detect group A infectious diseases as required by competent state authorities.

Thus, in the case of a patient not reporting or concealing when being infected with Covid-19, a fine ranging from VND 500,000 to VND 1,000,000 will be imposed.

Respectfully!
