Pursuant to Point e, Clause 4, Article 6 of Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP as amended and supplemented by Point g, Clause 34, Article 2 of Decree No. 123/2021/ND-CP stipulates:
A fine of between VND 800,000 and VND 1,000,000 shall be imposed on drivers of motorcycles, mopeds (including electric motorcycles), similar motorcycles and similar mopeds that exceed the red light.
Thus, the current fine for driving a motorcycle beyond the red light is VND 800,000 to VND 1,000,000, up from VND 600,000 to VND 1,000,000 in Vietnam. In addition, Point b, Clause 10, Article 6 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP provides additional penalties when motorists or mopeds crossing the red light are deprived of the right to use the Driving License for 01 month to 03 months.

Pursuant to Point a Clause 5 Article 5 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP as amended by Point đ Clause 34 Article 2 of Decree 123/2021/ND-CP stipulates:
Operators of automobiles and vehicles similar to automobiles that pass the red light shall be subject to a fine of between VND 4,000,000 and VND 6,000,000.
Therefore,the current fine for driving a car beyond the red light is VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000, an increase from the previous level of VND 3,000,000 to VND 5,000,000 in Vietnam. In addition, the additional penalty is when the driver of the car crossing the red light is deprived of the right to use the Driver's License for 01 month to 03 months.
