What are the fines for operating motorbikes in the wrong lanes in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Point g, Clause 3, Article 6 of the Decree 100/2019/NĐ-CP, which stipulates a fine ranging from VND 400,000 to VND 600,000 shall be imposed upon operators of mopeds and motorcycles (including electric motorcycles) and the like for commiting any of the following violations:
g) Failure to keep the vehicle to the right; going in the wrong lane; crossing the median strip; going on a sidewalk unless for entering a house;
As regulations above, a fine ranging from VND 400,000 to VND 600,000 shall be imposed upon operators of motorbikes for going in the wrong lanes.
What are the fines for operating cars in the wrong lanes in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Point dd, Clause 5, Article 5 of the Decree 100/2019/NĐ-CP (amended by the Decree 123/2021/ND-CP), which stipulates a fine ranging from VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000 shall be imposed upon operators of cars and car-like vehicles for commiting any of the following violations:
dd) Failure to keep the vehicle to the right; going in the wrong lane (along or against traffic direction) except for cases specified in Point c Clause 4 of this Article; crossing the median strip; going on a sidewalk unless for entering a house;
As regulations above, a fine ranging from VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000 shall be imposed upon operators of cars and car-like vehicles for going in the wrong lanes. Besides, the driving license of the operators might be suspended for 01 - 03 months.
