Main Penalties for Administrative Violations in Veterinary Care
At Clause 1, Article 3 of Decree 90/2017/ND-CP on sanctions for administrative violations in the veterinary field issued by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam, the regulations pertaining to the primary forms of sanctions in the veterinary field are as follows:
For each administrative violation in the veterinary field, organizations and individuals must bear one of the primary forms of sanctions: a warning or a monetary fine.
In addition to the primary sanction mentioned above, depending on the nature and extent of the violation, the offending organization or individual may be subject to one or more of the following supplementary sanctions:
- Revocation of the right to use licenses and professional certificates for a limited time, including: Veterinary practice certificates; Veterinary sanitary certificates or Certificates of establishments meeting food safety requirements (hereinafter collectively referred to as Veterinary Sanitary Certificates); Veterinary medicine import licenses; Certificates of eligibility for veterinary medicine production or Good Manufacturing Practice certification (hereinafter collectively referred to as GMP Certificates); Certificates of eligibility for veterinary medicine import; Certificates of eligibility for veterinary medicine trading;
- Temporary suspension of operations;
- Confiscation of exhibits and means used in the administrative violation in the veterinary field.
