Can Traffic Police Stop Violating Vehicles on Overpasses?
According to Clause 4, Article 18 of the Road Traffic Law 2008, there are regulations on places where vehicle operators are not permitted to stop or park their vehicles. To be specific:
- On the left side of a one-way street;
- On curved sections of the road and near the crest of a hill where the vision is obstructed;
- On a bridge, under an overpass;
- Parallel to another stopped or parked vehicle;
- On crosswalks;
- At intersections and within 5 meters from the edge of the intersection;
- At bus stops;
...
Thus, according to the above-mentioned regulations, vehicle operators are not allowed to stop or park on a bridge or under an overpass. However, in my search, I did not find any regulation that prohibits traffic police from stopping vehicles that violate traffic rules on overpasses.
Sincerely.
