Will relatives of martyrs receive support if they want to move the martyr's remains in Vietnam? What is level of support for moving martyrs' remains in Vietnam?

Hello, I have this problem that needs to be answered. I am the son of martyr Nguyen Van L. My family wants to move my father's remains to the martyrs' remain closer to his current residence. I wonder if my family will receive any support when moving the remains?

Please advise. Thankyou.

Will relatives of martyrs receive support if they want to move the martyr's remains in Vietnam?

In Article 16 of the Ordinance on preferential treatment for people with meritorious services to the Revolution, the preferential regime for relatives of martyrs is stipulated as follows:

4. In cases where the biological father, biological mother, or person who has contributed to raising a martyr, the spouse of a martyr specified in Clause 3 of this Article lives alone, or the child of a martyr specified in Clause 3 of this Article is orphaned, the right to receive additional monthly survivor allowance.

5. Health rehabilitation every two years for biological fathers, biological mothers, people who have contributed to raising martyrs, spouses, and children of martyrs with severe disabilities or especially severe disabilities.

In cases where the biological father or mother has only one child who is a martyr or has two or more children of martyrs, they will receive annual health rehabilitation.

6. Health insurance for biological fathers, biological mothers, people who have contributed to raising martyrs, spouses, and children of martyrs.

7. Preferential regimes specified in Points d, dd, e, g, h, i and k, Clause 2, Article 5 of this Ordinance.

8. Preferential regime specified in Point c, Clause 2, Article 5 of this Ordinance for relatives of martyrs who are receiving monthly death benefits.

9. Support in visiting martyrs' graves and moving martyrs' remains.

10. The martyr's spouse marries another husband or wife and raises the martyr's children to adulthood or takes care of the martyr's biological father or mother while they are still alive or because of revolutionary activities they cannot take care of their biological father. While the martyr's biological mother is still alive, she will enjoy the following preferential regimes:

a) Monthly death benefit;

b) Health insurance.

11. A one-time allowance for relatives equal to 03 months of the current monthly allowance when the subjects specified in Clause 3 of this Article die, except for the cases specified in Clause 10 of this Article.

12. Burial allowance for the person or organization performing the burial when the subjects specified in Clause 3 of this Article who are receiving monthly benefits die, except in cases where the subjects specified in Clause 10 of this Article die.

Thus, according to the above regulations in Vietnam, when your family wants to move your father's remains to the martyrs' remain closer to your current residence, the State will support the move.

What is level of support for moving martyrs' remains in Vietnam?

According to Article 10 of Decree 75/2021/ND-CP, regulations on support for moving martyrs' remains are as follows:

1. Relatives of martyrs, people authorized by martyrs' relatives, and people worshiping martyrs will receive one-time financial support when moving martyrs' remains:

a) The level of support for the burial of martyrs' remains is 4,000,000 VND/01 martyr's remains;

b) The level of travel and food allowance (maximum 03 people) is calculated based on the distance from the place of residence to the place where there is a martyr's grave: 3,000 VND/01 km/01 person.

2. Relatives of martyrs or martyrs' worshipers who do not wish to bury the remains of martyrs in martyrs' cemeteries will receive a one-time financial support to build martyrs' graves. Support level is 10 million VND/1 grave.

Therefore, when you move your father's remains, the support level for removing the remains will be 4,000,000 VND.

Best regards!
