Hello, I have a friend who is Korean, recently he went to Vietnam to play and had the act of sex buying, then he was discovered by the police while sex buying, I wonder if he will be deported with this behavior?

Pursuant to Article 24 of Decree 144/2021/ND-CP, there are provisions on administrative sanctions for the act of sex buying as follows:
1. A fine of from VND 1.000.000 to VND 2.000.000 shall be imposed for buying sex:
2. A fine of from VND 2.000.000 to VND 5.000.000 shall be imposed for buying sex in case the offence involves more than one person at the same time.
3. Additional penalty:
Confiscate the exhibits and means used for committing administrative violations specified in Clauses 1 and 2 of this Article.
Thus, according to the above provisions, the law does not provide for the application of the expulsion sanction to foreigners who commit acts of sex buying. Therefore, your friend will only be fined and confiscated for his act of sex buying in Vietnam.
2. What are penalties for sex selling to foreigners in Vietnam?
In Article 25 of Decree 144/2021/ND-CP, there are provisions on administrative penalties for sex selling as follows:
1. A warning or a fine ranging from 300.000 VND to 500.000 VND shall be imposed for selling sex.
2. A fine of from VND 1.000.000 to VND 2.000.000 shall be imposed for selling sex in case the offence involves more than one person at the same time.
3. Additional penalties:
a) Confiscate the exhibits and means used for committing administrative violations specified in Clauses 1 and 2 of this Article.
b) Expel foreigners committing the administrative violations specified in Clauses 1 and 2 of this Article.
4. Remedial measure:
Enforced return of benefits illegally obtained from the commission of the violation in prescribed Clauses 1 and 2 of this Article;
According to this Article, the law has no provisions on discriminating sex selling for foreigners and Vietnamese. Therefore, a person who acts as sex selling may be fined from VND 300,000 to VND 500,000 or from VND 1,000,000 to VND 2,000,000 in case of sex selling to 02 or more people at the same time. In addition, the violators will also be confiscated material evidences and forced to pay back the illegal profits in Vietnam.
