Who are persons with meritorious services to the revolution of Vietnam?
Persons with meritorious services to the revolution are defined in Clause 1, Article 1 of the amended 2012 Ordinance on Preferential Treatment for Persons with Meritorious Services to the Revolution issued by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam, as follows:
Persons with meritorious services to the revolution include:
a) Persons involved in revolutionary activities before January 1, 1945;
b) Persons involved in revolutionary activities from January 1, 1945, to the August 1945 uprising;
c) Martyrs;
d) Vietnamese heroic mothers;
dd) Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces;
e) Labor heroes during the resistance war;
g) War invalids, persons entitled to policies like war invalids;
h) Diseased soldiers;
i) Persons involved in resistance activities affected by toxic chemicals;
k) Persons involved in revolutionary activities, resistance activities who were imprisoned or exiled by the enemy;
l) Persons involved in the resistance for national liberation, national defense, and fulfilling international obligations;
m) Persons with meritorious services in assisting the revolution.
