What Responsibilities Do Youth Have Towards Themselves According to New Regulations
Based on Article 15 of the Youth Law 2020 (effective from January 1, 2021) stipulating the responsibilities of youth towards themselves as follows:
- Cultivate ethics, personality, cultural lifestyle, and civilized behavior; uphold civic responsibility and law-abiding awareness; prevent and combat negativity, social evils, unlawful and unethical behavior.
- Actively study to enhance education, knowledge, and skills; approach, research, and apply science and technology into practice.
- Proactively understand the labor market; choose suitable careers and jobs; cultivate a sense of responsibility, labor discipline, and professional demeanor; innovate and improve techniques to increase labor productivity.
- Exercise, protect, care for, and enhance health, develop physically and mentally; equip oneself with knowledge and life skills, reproductive health care, sexual health, and disease prevention skills; avoid alcohol abuse; limit tobacco use; refrain from using drugs, addictive substances, and other stimulants prohibited by law; prevent online harms.
- Actively participate in healthy cultural, sports, and physical activities and movements; protect, preserve, and promote national cultural identity; assimilate the cultural essence of humanity.
The above are the responsibilities of youth towards themselves as stipulated by the Youth Law 2020.
