Is the Day of the God of Wealth 2025 a holiday in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 112 Labor Code 2019 stipulating public holidays:
Article 112. Public Holidays
- Employees are entitled to leave with full pay on the following public holidays:
a) New Year's Day: 1 day (January 1);
b) Lunar New Year: 5 days;
c) Victory Day: 1 day (April 30);
d) International Labor Day: 1 day (May 1);
dd) National Day: 2 days (September 2 and 1 day immediately before or after);
e) Hung Kings' Commemoration Day: 1 day (March 10 of the lunar calendar).
- Foreign employees working in Vietnam in addition to the holidays specified in Clause 1 of this Article are entitled to 1 traditional New Year holiday and 1 National Day of their home country.
- Annually, based on actual conditions, the Prime Minister will decide specific holidays as stipulated in Points b and đ, Clause 1 of this Article.
According to the above provisions, employees are entitled to leave with full pay on the following days:
- New Year's Day
- Lunar New Year
- Victory Day
- International Labor Day
- National Day
- Hung Kings' Commemoration Day
For foreign employees working in Vietnam, they are entitled to an additional 1 traditional New Year holiday and 1 National Day of their home country.
Thus, the Day of the God of Wealth 2025 is not a public holiday with leave and pay entitlement.
How many annual leave days are there for employees with disabilities in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 113 Labor Code 2019 stipulating annual leave:
Article 113. Annual Leave
- Employees who have worked for 12 months for an employer are entitled to annual leave with full pay under the labor contract as follows:
a) 12 working days for employees in normal conditions;
b) 14 working days for juvenile workers, employees with disabilities, those doing arduous, toxic, or dangerous jobs;
c) 16 working days for employees in particularly arduous, toxic, or dangerous jobs.
- Employees working for less than 12 months for an employer are entitled to annual leave in proportion to the number of months worked.
- In case of resignation or job loss without having taken annual leave or not having taken all the annual leave, the employer shall pay the salary for the untaken days.

According to the above provisions, an employee with disabilities who has worked for 12 months for an employer is entitled to 14 days of annual leave.
For every 5 years working for an employer, the employee’s annual leave days are increased by 1 additional day. (Regulated in Article 114 Labor Code 2019)
