What are duties of the Vietnam Zoo Association?
Pursuant to Article 7 of the Charter of the Vietnam Zoo Association (amended and supplemented) promulgated together with Decision 474/QD-BNV in 2021 stipulating following tasks:
1. Comply with the provisions of law related to the organization and operation of the Association. Organize and operate according to the Association's Charter approved by the Minister of Home Affairs. Not to take advantage of the Association's activities to harm national security, social order, morality, fine customs and traditions of the nation, and legitimate rights and interests of individuals and organizations. .
2. Gather and unite members; organize and coordinate activities among members for the common interests of the Association; strictly implement the principles and purposes of the Association in order to participate in the development of fields related to the Association's activities, contributing to the construction and development of the country.
3. Disseminate and foster knowledge for members, guide members to comply with the laws, regimes and policies of the State and the Association's Charter, regulations and regulations of the Association.
4. Organize scientific and technical research, disseminate information at home and abroad about wild animals in zoos in accordance with law.
5. Represent members to participate in and make recommendations to competent authorities on guidelines and policies related to the Association's field of operation in accordance with law.
6. Meditate disputes, settlement of reflections, recommendations, complaints and denunciations within the Association in accordance with law.
7. Develop and promulgate professional ethics rules in the Association's activities.
8. Manage and use the Association's funding sources in accordance with the provisions of law.

What are regulations on members of the Vietnam Zoo Association?
Pursuant to Clause 1 Article 8 of the Charter of the Vietnam Zoo Association (amended and supplemented) promulgated together with Decision 474/QD-BNV in 2021 stipulating members of the Vietnam Zoo Association as follows:
1. The Association's members include official members, associate members and honorary members:
a) Official members of the Association include organizational members and individual members.
- Organizational member is an organization with legal status of Vietnam operating in the field of wildlife in zoos in the territory of Vietnam in accordance with the law of Vietnam, voluntarily and with consent. become the Association's Charter, meet the criteria specified in Clause 2 of this Article, and be considered and recognized by the Association's Executive Board as an official member;
- Individual member is a Vietnamese citizen working in the field of wildlife in zoos in Vietnam in accordance with Vietnamese law, voluntarily and in agreement with the Association's Charter, meets the criteria specified in Clause 2 of this Article, is considered and recognized by the Association's Executive Board as an official member.
b) Associate members of the Association:
- Vietnamese enterprises and organizations that have not yet met the conditions to join the Association and wish to organize and operate in the field of scientific research and wildlife management in the territory of Vietnam according to regulations. of the current Vietnamese law, voluntarily applying to join the Association and agreeing to the Association's Charter, considered and recognized by the Association's Executive Board as an associate member;
- Organizations, joint-venture enterprises and enterprises with 100% foreign investment capital (hereinafter referred to as enterprises with foreign elements) lawfully operating in Vietnam in the field of operation of the Association. Contributing to the development of the Association, voluntarily applying to the Association and agreeing to the Association's Charter, reviewed and recognized by the Association's Executive Board as an associate member.
c) Honorary members of the Association: Vietnamese citizens and Vietnamese legal entities are not eligible to become official members of the Association but have prestige, experience and merit for the association. development of the Association, approval of the Association's Charter, voluntary application to the Association, consideration and recognition by the Association's Executive Board as an honorary member.

2. Standards for official membership:
a) Individual members: Vietnamese citizens who are at least 18 years old, have full civil act capacity, have diplomas and certificates in the fields of agriculture, biology, forestry, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine issued by competent Vietnamese and foreign agencies, having conditions to participate in regular activities of the Association; voluntarily write an Application to join the Association (according to the Application form prescribed by the Association);
b) Organizational members: Enterprises and scientific - technological research organizations established under the Enterprise Law, legally operating in the field of wildlife in zoos in the Vietnamese territory According to the provisions of Vietnamese law, having conditions to regularly and fully participate in the Association's activities, voluntarily write an Application to join the Association (according to the application form prescribed by the Association) enclosed with a copy establishment license, establishment decision or business registration certificate;
c) Each organization that is an official member appoints 01 (one) representative to act as the focal point to participate in the Association's activities, the representative must work officially at the organization with that legal person status. The representative must have full decision-making authority, clearly stating his full name and position in the application to join the Association; in case of delegation, the person authorized to act as a representative must have the authority to make a decision and the principal must be responsible for such authorization. When changing the representative, the member must notify in writing immediately after Change of representative shall be sent to the Standing Board of the Association (within 05 days from the date of change of representative).
