Types of Housing Support for Individuals Who Contributed to the Revolution
Forms of Housing Support for People with Meritorious Service to the Revolution
Based on Clause 2, Article 99 of Decree 131/2021/ND-CP (Effective from February 15, 2022), the forms of housing support for people with meritorious service to the revolution are as follows:
- Gift of a house: The State and society present a "gratitude house" to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.
- Support when renting social housing or old state-owned houses according to the regulations in Article 100 of this Decree.
- Support when purchasing old state-owned houses (excluding land levy) according to the laws on housing.
- Support for the purchase, rent, or rent-to-own of social housing that is not state-funded according to the laws on housing.
- Support with preferential State loans for purchasing or rent-to-own social housing; constructing new houses or renovating and repairing houses for residence according to the laws on housing.
- Financial assistance for renovation, repair, or new construction for temporary houses or houses in severe disrepair according to the regulations in Article 102 of this Decree.
Principles of Housing Support for People with Meritorious Service to the Revolution
Clause 3 of this Article stipulates the principles of housing support for people with meritorious service to the revolution as follows:
The support for housing improvement adheres to the following principles:
- Based on the merits, circumstances of each individual, or when there are housing difficulties, and in line with the socio-economic conditions of the country.
- Integrate with other central and local investment, support programs and encourage community assistance, and family contributions.
- Ensure transparency, avoid losses, and allocate support resources fairly and reasonably.
- Comply with the provisions of the laws on housing and related laws.
