Submit the Application for Funeral Expenses for the Elderly to Which Agency?

Pursuant to Point c, Clause 1, Article 11 of Decree 136/2013/ND-CP, individuals aged 80 years or older who are receiving monthly social insurance survivorship benefits or other monthly allowances are eligible to receive funeral cost support.

Clause 3, Article 11 of Decree 136/2013/ND-CP stipulates the procedures for funeral cost support as follows:

- The agency, organization, household, or individual organizing the funeral for the beneficiary shall prepare the dossier as prescribed in Clause 3 of this Article and submit it to the Chairman of the commune-level People's Committee;

- Within 02 working days from the date of receipt of the complete dossier, the Chairman of the commune-level People's Committee shall issue a written request along with the beneficiary's dossier to the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs;

- Within 03 working days from the date of receipt of the document from the Chairman of the commune-level People's Committee, the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs shall appraise and submit it to the Chairman of the district-level People's Committee for a decision on funeral cost support.
