Responsibilities of the Provincial People's Committee according to the Ordinance on Persons with Merits to the Revolution

Responsibilities of the Provincial People's Committee according to the ordinance for people with meritorious services to the revolution as stipulated in Clause 1, Article 51 of the Ordinance on preferential treatment for people with meritorious services to the Revolution 2020. To be specific:

- Issue according to their authority or submit to the competent authority for the issuance of preferential policies towards people with meritorious services to the revolution and their relatives within their jurisdiction;

- Organize the implementation of preferential policies towards people with meritorious services to the revolution and their relatives within their locality;

- Strengthen propaganda, inspection, and supervision of the implementation of preferential policies towards people with meritorious services to the revolution and their relatives, strictly handle violations in the implementation of laws, and preferential policies towards people with meritorious services to the revolution;

- Issue regulations on managing martyrs' memorials and martyrs' graves within their locality;

- Allocate local budgets to perform expenditure tasks as stipulated in Article 45 of this Ordinance according to the decentralization, authorization of the Government of Vietnam, and provisions of the law on the state budget;

- Promote the movement "Gratitude for those who serve," mobilize resources in society to care for and assist people with meritorious services to the revolution and their families;

- Based on the specific conditions of the locality, submit to the Provincial People's Council to decide on policies outside the provisions of Clause 1, Article 45 of this Ordinance.
