Provisions on Principles for Organizing Children’s Forums
According to Article 3 of Circular 29/2019/TT-BLDTBXH, the principles for organizing children's forums are stipulated as follows:
- For the best interests of children.
- Participation of children is voluntary.
- Provide full information to children with appropriate content, form, and measures.
- Create a safe, friendly, and equal environment without discrimination, retaliation, or stigma when children express or do not express their opinions.
- Ensure the confidentiality of personal and private life of children participating in the children's forum.
- Children participating in the children's forum must ensure representation structure for regions, ethnicities, ages, genders, religions, and children in special circumstances.
- Activities of the children's forum must be appropriate to the age, gender, ethnicity, circumstances, maturity level, and development of children.
- Messages, opinions, recommendations, wishes, and questions from children must be respected, listened to, collected, and fully, promptly, objectively, and truthfully responded to by agencies, organizations, or individuals, and used for the right purposes.
