Propaganda on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence: What Is the Purpose?

Based on Article 9 of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence 2007, the following provisions are outlined:

- Information and communication on the prevention and control of domestic violence aim to change awareness and behavior regarding domestic violence, contributing to the elimination of domestic violence and enhancing the awareness of the good traditions of the Vietnamese people and families.

- Information and communication on the prevention and control of domestic violence must ensure the following requirements:

+ Accurate, clear, simple, and practical;

+ Appropriate for different subjects, levels, ages, genders, traditions, cultures, ethnic identities, and religions;

+ Not affecting gender equality, honor, dignity, the reputation of domestic violence victims, and other family members.

The above outlines the purpose of communication on the prevention and control of domestic violence.
