Preferential Treatment Regime for Persons with Meritorious Services to the Revolutionary Cause and Their Relatives - Regulations
Preferential treatment for persons with meritorious services to the Revolution and their relatives is stipulated in Article 5 of the Ordinance on Preferential Treatment of Persons with Meritorious Services to the Revolution 2020 (effective from July 1, 2021). To be specific:
Depending on the specific subjects, persons with meritorious services to the revolution and their relatives are entitled to the following principal preferential policies:
- Monthly allowances, monthly subsidies, lump-sum allowances;
- Other preferential policies include:
+ Health insurance;
+ Convalescence and rehabilitation;
+ Provision of assistive devices, prosthetics, essential rehabilitation devices and equipment as prescribed by orthopedics and rehabilitation establishments under the labor - invalids and social affairs sector or provincial-level hospitals;
+ Priority in enrollment and job creation;
+ Support for pursuing higher education at universities within the national education system;
+ Housing improvement support based on merit, individual circumstances, or housing difficulties;
+ Exemption or reduction of land levy when allocated homestead land by the State, conversion of land use purpose to homestead land, recognition of the right to use homestead land, or when purchasing State-owned housing;
+ Priority in allocation or lease of land, water surface, marine surface; priority in contracting for forest protection and development;
+ Preferential loans for production and business;
+ Tax exemption or reduction as prescribed by law.
