Preferential policies for relatives of war invalids are regulated how?
Conditions and standards for veterans are specified in Article 28 of the 2020 Ordinance on Preferential Treatment for Persons with Meritorious Services to the Revolution. To be specific:
Health insurance for the following individuals:
a) Biological father, biological mother, spouse, children aged 6 to under 18, or 18 years old and above if continuing to study or having severe disabilities, extremely severe disabilities of veterans with a body injury ratio of 61% or higher;
b) Caregivers of veterans with a body injury ratio of 81% or higher living in the family.
If a veteran with a body injury ratio of 61% or higher dies, their relatives are entitled to the following death benefits:
a) Biological father, biological mother, spouse at the age stipulated in Clause 2, Article 169 of the Labor Code, children under 18 years old, or 18 years old and above if continuing to study or having severe disabilities, extremely severe disabilities are entitled to monthly death benefits;
b) Lonely biological father, biological mother, spouse at the age stipulated in Clause 2, Article 169 of the Labor Code, lonely spouse, orphans with both parents deceased under 18 years old, or 18 years old and above if continuing to study or having severe disabilities, extremely severe disabilities are entitled to monthly death benefits and monthly nurturing benefits.
Preferential regimes specified at Points d and e, Clause 2, Article 5 of this Ordinance for children of veterans.
One-time allowance for the relatives equivalent to 3 months of the current monthly allowance, monthly subsidy when the veteran who was receiving the monthly allowance dies.
Funeral allowance for the individual or organization conducting the funeral when the veteran who was receiving the monthly allowance dies.
