Persons with Disabilities Exempt from Train Fares?
According to Clause 2, Article 12 of Decree 28/2012/ND-CP on exemption and reduction of fares and public transport service fees as follows:
Persons with severe or particularly severe disabilities are entitled to reduced fares and service fees when participating in transportation on domestic routes using the following means:
- A minimum reduction of 15% for airplanes;
- A minimum reduction of 25% for trains, trams, ships, and passenger cars on fixed routes.
Therefore, in the case of your father who is severely disabled, he will be eligible for a minimum reduction of 25% on train tickets according to current regulations.
