Is it Legal for Married Couples to Have Triplets?
According to Clause 2, Article 17 of Decree 104/2003/ND-CP, the rights of couples are defined as follows:
- To decide on the timing of childbirth, number of children, and the spacing between births in a manner suitable for a family with few children, the socio-economic development goals, and the population policy of the State at each stage; suitable to the age, health status, education, employment, income, and child-rearing conditions of the couple or individual on the basis of equality.
- To choose and use contraceptive methods appropriate to their economic, health, psychological conditions, and other circumstances.
- To be provided with information and services regarding family planning.
Thus, each couple shall decide on the number of children suitable to their age, health status, education, employment, income, and child-rearing conditions of the couple or individual on the basis of equality.
Currently, the State encourages each couple to have two children, with support available for purchasing social housing, priority for their children to attend public schools, and other preferential policies.
Respectfully.
