How Much Monthly Allowance Does a 3-Year-Old Orphan of Both Parents Receive?
Orphans who have lost both parents are eligible for monthly social allowances as specified in Point b of Clause 1 Article 5 of Decree 20/2021/ND-CP.
Clause 1 Article 6 also stipulates: Subjects defined in Article 5 of this Decree are entitled to monthly social allowances at the level equal to the social assistance standard specified in Article 4 of this Decree multiplied by the corresponding coefficient as follows:
a) For subjects defined in Clause 1 Article 5 of this Decree:
- Coefficient of 2.5 for cases under 4 years old;
- Coefficient of 1.5 for cases from 4 years old and above.

The social assistance standard applicable from July 1, 2021, is 360,000 VND/month.
Thus, in the case of a 3-year-old orphan, the child will be entitled to a monthly social allowance of 900,000 VND/month.
