How is Film Advertising Regulated?
Based on Article 40 of the Cinematography Law 2006, the regulations on advertising films are as follows:
+ Film production enterprises, Vietnam Television, provincial radio and television stations are allowed to introduce information related to the film during the preparation and production process;
+ Film production enterprises, Vietnam Television, provincial radio and television stations are not allowed to show the entire content of the film for advertising purposes without a film distribution license from a competent state management agency on cinematography, or a broadcasting decision from the General Director of Vietnam Television or the Director of provincial radio and television stations.
Advertising within films shall be conducted in accordance with the law on advertising.
