How are the organization, restoration, and promotion of the values of folk songs, folk dances, and folk music associated with tourism development regulated?
Pursuant to Subparagraph d, Subsection 1, Section III, Article 1 of Decision 3404/QD-BVHTTDL of 2021 stipulating the tasks of organizing the restoration and promotion of the value of folk songs, folk dances, and folk music of ethnic minorities in association with tourism development as follows:
- Support and research the organization of restoration, performance, teaching, recreation, and dissemination of the value of folk songs, folk dances, and folk music of ethnic minorities in communities, families, schools, and tourist areas and attractions;
- Support the establishment and operation of models including clubs, village performance teams, associations, cultural folklore branches, and the preservation and promotion of folk songs, folk dances, and folk music of ethnic minorities;
- Select and restore representative ethnic cultural spaces at community tourism villages and during traditional festivals, ceremonies, and markets (prioritizing locations with community tourism areas) to facilitate cultural exchange, performances, practical training, and the transmission of various forms of cultural heritage and folk genres, thereby creating cultural products that meet the needs of cultural and community tourism;
- Support communities in practicing and preserving intangible cultural heritage, such as folk songs, folk dances, and folk music within community life; enhance the role of conventions and customs in preserving cultural values;
- Develop models of cultural and artistic clubs that operate regularly and effectively to serve tourism development in localities;
- Restore some traditional folk melodies, dances, and ethnic musical instruments for annual practical implementation and performance associated with local tourism development activities;
- Innovate the organization of public cultural activities during cultural, sports, and tourism festivals of ethnic minorities; organize folk song festivals for ethnic minorities (according to Decision 3666/QD-BVHTTDL of 2020);
- Innovate and improve the quality of organizing contests, performances, festivals, and public cultural exchange activities; showcase traditional folk songs, dances, and music during the Vietnam National Great Unity Day, Vietnam Heritage Day, etc., at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism and during traditional festivals in localities.
