Fiftieth Blood Donation: Eligibility for Commendation Certificate?
According to Clauses 9, 12, and 13 of Article 7 of the Regulation on Honoring and Commending Individuals, Families, and Collectives with Outstanding Voluntary Blood Donation and Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization Achievements issued with Decision 122/QD-BCDQG in 2017, the standards and forms of honoring and commending individuals are specified as follows:
Individuals donating blood for the fiftieth time:
- The National Steering Committee considers awarding the Bronze Medal and the 50-time Blood Donation Badge to individuals.
For individuals with rare blood type Rh(-) who have donated blood for the fiftieth time, the National Steering Committee will consider awarding the Silver Medal and a 50-time Blood Donation Badge, and the agency responsible for organizing, officials and public employees, labor management, and salary fund shall submit to the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam to consider awarding a Certificate of Commendation.
- In addition to the standards and forms of honor and commendation mentioned above, each time an individual donates blood voluntarily, they receive a “Voluntary Blood Donation Certificate” from the blood reception facility.
- On the occasion of “World Blood Donor Day - June 14” every year, the National Steering Committee organizes the “Ceremony to Honor Outstanding Voluntary Blood Donors in Vietnam” and recommends that the Leaders of the Communist Party and the State meet and commend these outstanding individuals.
