Conditions for the Recognition of Tourist Attractions
Based on Article 11 of Decree 168/2017/ND-CP stipulating the conditions for recognizing tourist destinations, details are as follows:
- Having tourism resources, with clearly defined boundaries on a topographic map certified by a competent authority. The map scale depends on management requirements and the area's topography.
- Having necessary infrastructure and services to ensure the accommodation of tourists, including:
+ Convenient transportation and communication connections;
+ Availability of electricity and clean water;
+ Presence of signs and explanations about the tourist destination;
+ Dining and shopping services.
- Meeting conditions for security, order, social safety, and environmental protection, including:
+ Having security personnel available 24 hours a day;
+ Publicizing the phone number and address of the organization or individual managing the tourist destination;
+ Having a mechanism to promptly receive and address tourists' feedback and complaints;
+ Maintaining clean public restrooms, which are ventilated and adequately illuminated, with sufficient facilities corresponding to the number of tourists during peak periods;
+ Implementing measures for the collection and treatment of waste and sewage in accordance with environmental protection laws, and assigning personnel for environmental sanitation;
+ Adopting measures for fire and explosion prevention as per legal regulations.
The above are the conditions for recognizing a tourist destination.
