Charter and Objectives of the Vietnam Writers Association

Based on Article 2 of the Charter of the Vietnam Writers' Association (attached to Decision 1685/QD-TTg of 2021), the specific principles and purposes are stipulated as follows:

The Vietnam Writers' Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) is a voluntary political-social-professional organization of Vietnamese citizens who are writers. It was established to unite, consolidate, and motivate its members to utilize their intellect and talent to build a patriotic, humane, democratic, innovative, and creative Vietnamese literature. The Association aims to protect the legitimate rights and interests of its members in their professional activities in accordance with the law; to contribute to building an advanced Vietnamese literature rich in national identity. The Association respects the individual style of each writer and encourages innovation in literary creation to serve the People and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and to foster peace and friendly cooperation with the peoples of the world.
