Can individuals with college or intermediate diplomas in Tourism Guidance be issued international tour guide cards?

According to Clause 2, Article 59 of the Tourism Law 2017, the conditions for being issued an International Tour Guide Card include:

- Having Vietnamese nationality, residing permanently in Vietnam;

- Having full civil capacity;

- Not suffering from infectious diseases, not using drugs;

- Graduating from college or higher in tour guiding; in case of graduating from college or higher in another major, must have a certificate in international tour guiding;

- Being proficient in the registered foreign language for practicing.

Specifically regarding the educational qualification condition, to be issued an International Tour Guide Card, you must graduate from college or higher in tour guiding. If you graduate from college or higher in another major, you must have a certificate in international tour guiding.

=> Thus, the case of having an intermediate-level diploma in tour guiding does not meet the conditions for being issued an International Tour Guide Card.

In the case of having a college diploma in tour guiding, it is necessary to meet the remaining conditions mentioned above to be issued an International Tour Guide Card.
