Are Persons with Disabilities Entitled to Funeral Expense Support Upon Death?

Based on Article 46 of the Law on Persons with Disabilities 2010, the policy regarding funeral expenses for persons with disabilities is as follows:

Persons with disabilities receiving monthly social assistance will be supported with funeral expenses upon their death. The Government of Vietnam stipulates the level of funeral expense support.

According to this regulation, only persons with disabilities receiving monthly social assistance are entitled to funeral expense support upon their death.

Clause 1, Article 44 of this Law provides that only persons with extremely severe disabilities and persons with severe disabilities are entitled to monthly social assistance.

Therefore, based on the aforementioned basis, only persons with extremely severe disabilities and persons with severe disabilities are entitled to funeral expense support upon their death. Hence, if your neighbor falls under these two categories, the family can submit an application requesting funeral expense support in accordance with the law.
