When is a Business Eligible for Criminal Record Expungement?
As we know, a business is a commercial legal entity with the primary goal of seeking profit, and the profit is distributed among its members.
Article 89 of the Criminal Code 2015 stipulates the expungement of criminal records when an enterprise commits a criminal law violation as follows:
A commercial legal entity that is convicted shall automatically have its criminal record expunged if, within 02 years from the completion of the main penalty, additional penalty, other decisions of the sentence, or from the expiration of the time limit for execution of the sentence, the commercial legal entity does not commit a new crime.
