No Death Penalty for the Crime of Infringement of Territorial Security

Based on Article 111 of the 2015 Penal Code stipulating the Crime of Infringing on Territorial Security as follows:

Any person who intrudes into the territory, commits acts that distort national borders, or performs other acts aimed at harming the territorial security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam shall be subject to the following penalties:

1. The organizer, active participant, or person causing serious consequences shall be subject to imprisonment from 12 years to 20 years or life imprisonment;

2. Other accomplices shall be subject to imprisonment from 05 years to 15 years;

3. Preparers of this crime shall be subject to imprisonment from 01 year to 05 years.

Thus, according to the above regulation, the crime of infringing on territorial security does not apply the death penalty.
