Issuance of a Certificate of Completion of Prison Sentence for Foreign Inmates

Pursuant to Clause 4, Article 47 of the 2019 Law on Execution of Criminal Judgments, regulations regarding the release of prisoners are as follows:

Foreign nationals who have completed their prison sentences shall be issued a certificate of sentence completion and shall reside at an accommodation facility designated by the criminal judgment execution management authority while awaiting exit procedures.

Thus, foreign nationals who have completed their prison sentences shall be issued a certificate of sentence completion as per the aforementioned regulations. Concurrently, the authority that issued the certificate of sentence completion is responsible for sending that certificate to the National Criminal Record Center and the court that issued the judgment execution decision.
